WHMIS stands for Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System. This system was created based on a worker’s right to know the hazardous materials they are exposed to in the workplace.
This course is designed to teach students how to identify and understand the labeling and MSDS components of the program. At the completion of this course, the student should be able to identify and understand when and how to use workplace labels, supplier labels, MSDS and recognize the hazard symbols that represent each class of hazardous materials.
