About NATE Councils

NATE Councils are special groups designated within NATE that involve oversight responsibilities encompassing the Association’s financial governance, legislative & regulatory outreach and member awards initiatives.

  • The Awards Selection Council consists of the NATE Chairman of the Board and the Chairman from each Standing Committee. Their purpose is to review recognition award nomination forms and make recipient recommendations to the Board.
  • The Financial Investment Council conducts quarterly conference calls to review NATE’s financial portfolio, analyze market trends and make investment recommendations to the Association’s Board of Directors.
  • The Legislative & Regulatory Council travels to Washington, D.C. on a bi-annual basis to represent the Association through meetings with prominent stakeholders on Capitol Hill, federal government agencies and industry organizations.
