Zero-Tolerance Policy Mandates 100% Tie-Off 24/7
The Wireless Industry Safety Task Force launched the 100% Tie-Off 24/7 Awareness Campaign in order to raise awareness of the 100% tie-off fall protection requirement and drive home the message that there should be a zero-tolerance policy regarding this law. Many of the accidents that compromise safety in the wireless industry involve situations where the tower technician was not properly tied-off to the structure. 100% tie-off is the law and needs to be strictly adhered to at all times in order to ensure a safer work environment on a tower site.
The Wireless Industry Safety Task Force consists of top safety and operations executives representing wireless carriers, tower owners, OEM’s, turnkey/construction management firms and NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association. The Task Force has been established in order to collaborate on best practice solutions to achieve sustainable safety improvements in the industry.

As part of the 100% Tie-Off 24/7 Awareness Campaign, the Wireless Industry Safety Task Force created a safety poster that may be printed off and displayed in prominent locations throughout your company’s office, warehouse and other facilities. This safety poster will serve as a daily reminder for all tower industry personnel to employ safe 100% tie-off practices at all times when working at heights.
100% Tie-Off 24/7 Commitment Certificate
100% tie-off is the law and needs to be strictly adhered to at all times in order to ensure a safer work environment on a tower site. This certificate of commitment is designed to be a pact between an employer and employee to affirm the practice of 100% tie-off 24/7.
The Wireless Industry Safety Task Force encourages all employers to create a culture of safety within their respective company by requiring all employees to sign the 100% Tie-Off 24/7 Commitment Certificate. The certificate can be printed directly from this website page, signed by both the employer and employee and ultimately be placed in each employee’s personnel file.
