NATE Participates in Broadband Roundtable Hosted by U.S. Senator Deb Fischer and FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr

(Omaha, Nebraska) – NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association was invited to participate in a roundtable event hosted today in Omaha, Nebraska by U.S. Senator Deb Fischer and FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr. NATE President & CEO Todd Schlekeway represented the Association at the roundtable, which was held at the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce Headquarters.

During the event, Senator Fischer and Commissioner Carr addressed attendees regarding the state of broadband connectivity in Nebraska and around the country. Following their remarks, Senator Fischer and Commissioner Carr facilitated a roundtable discussion featuring a group of stakeholders representing a wide range of industries and perspectives. The conversation among stakeholders focused on broadband deployment and coordination at the federal, state, and local levels, with participants sharing their industry’s unique perspectives.  

“It was an honor to join Senator Fischer and Commissioner Carr participating in today’s broadband deployment and coordination roundtable,” said NATE President & CEO Todd Schlekeway. “Today’s event provided a valuable forum to shine a spotlight on the essential work that NATE’s contractor members conduct in the Cornhusker State and around the country deploying the broadband networks that enable connectivity. I also appreciated the opportunity to discuss the industry’s current workforce development and policy priorities with Senator Fischer, Commissioner Carr, and the other roundtable participants,” added Schlekeway.
