NATE Statement on U.S. Senator Roger Wicker’s Ascension to Chairman and U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell’s Selection as Ranking Member of the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation

(Washington, D.C.) – The NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association today released the following statement on the announcement of U.S. Senator Roger Wicker (R-Miss) officially being selected to serve as the new Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

“NATE congratulates Senator Wicker on being named the new Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation,” said NATE Board of Directors member Jimmy Miller MillerCo, Inc. in Gulfport, Mississippi. “Senator Wicker possesses a keen understanding of the legislative and regulatory challenges currently confronting the wireless infrastructure community and will work in a collaborative, bipartisan fashion to solve these issues in a manner that benefits the industry and consumers,” added Miller.

NATE also commended the elevation of U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) as Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation. “As a small business owner in the state of Washington and constituent, I would like to offer my congratulations to Senator Cantwell on assuming the Ranking Member role,” said NATE Chairman Jim Tracy of Legacy Telecommunications, LLC in Burley, Washington. “NATE has enjoyed our working relationship with Sen. Cantwell and her staff and looks forward to continue this collaboration in the 116th Congress, “Tracy said.
