OSHA Final Walking/Working Surfaces Rule

On Monday, July 10 Mark Lies, a Labor and Employment Law attorney and Partner with Seyfarth Shaw LLP, conducted a live NATE webinar entitled OSHA Final Walking/Working Surfaces Rule.

The webinar discussed OSHA’s new fall protection regulation for General Industry which became effective on January 17, 2017. It also discussed the various compliance deadlines within the regulation which extend out for twenty years. The program covered the training components as well as the fall arrest on ladder safety devices that will be required. In addition, it reviewed particular compliance issues that will be encountered within the tower erection and maintenance industry. The webinar included a discussion of the civil and criminal penalties for non-compliance as well as recommendations to be taken in an OSHA inspection.
