This course was developed to provide students with the skills necessary to survive an unexpected emergency when emergency services are not a simple call away. This course is delivered by instructors with years of experience in handling challenging survival situations and delivering quality training. After lecture, students will move to the field to test their skills and learn specific techniques that are valuable to their surrounding environment.

AUDIENCE: 

This course is designed to broaden the emergency skills and knowledge of students who work in or may travel to remote areas in cold weather outdoor environments, i.e. Snowcat operators, Winter truck drivers, Lineman and radio technicians working outdoors in the winter time. 

OSHA requires that employers take necessary steps to train workers entering cold environments about cold induced injuries and illnesses.

PREREQUISITES FOR THIS COURSE: 

Must have physical and mental aptitude to practice skills in winter environments.
