Our SPRAT Level II course is intended to prepare students for the SPRAT Level II certification exam. The course combines both theory and practical exercises in order to ensure that participants have a comprehensive understanding of the material. This is a six day course, wherein the initial five days involve training candidates to execute various rope maneuvers, and day six is the SPRAT II certification exam, with both a written test, and a practical exam. There are numerous maneuvers that students must be proficient at in order to pass the certification exam, including all SPRAT level I maneuvers plus: load- sharing anchor systems, retrievable rope systems, vertical aid climbing, horizontal aid climbing rescue, and more. Candidates must have logged at least 500 hours of work as a SPRAT Level I technician to meet the minimum requirements. Students should be in excellent physical condition to take this course.
