This course is designed for employees who work in the tower industry who have rigging and signaling responsibilities. This course focuses on regulations, mathematical theories, and best practices specific to rigging and signaling in the tower industry. Many rigging courses focus on rigging and signaling as it pertains to cranes, which fail to address the hazard’s associated with equipment such as synthetic rope, knots and capstan hoists. This course is comprised of both classroom theory and practical exercises. There is a strong focus on the use of algebra and trigonometry in this course. Students must be able to use mathematical principles to calculate forces of equipment.
