Kathy is a graduate of Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Management. Her focus of study was Labor Relations with a minor in Psychology, which made for a perfect fit in her Safety Career choice.
Her strategic integration of an effective safety and health culture into businesses, reduced corporate EMR’s by nearly 50%, while meeting safety, health, quality and productivity requirements of the business. The success of her programs was recognized nationally by both the Construction Users Business Roundtable with a Superior Corporate Safety Recognition and was highlighted in the National Electrical Contractors magazine for an Effective Corporate Safety and Health Program.
Kathy had been the Director of ERI Installations for eight years and just completed a successful FCC Broadcast repack when she was hired in June 2021, as the new Director of Safety, Health & Compliance for NATE. She is tasked with directing, developing, and overseeing the general health and safety policies and procedures of the Association to ensure its safety materials and best practices documents are in compliance with OSHA and other applicable state and local regulations and standards.
She is currently a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals and is serving on the American National Standards Institute for Construction and Demolition Operations Committee (A10) as an alternate and as a formal observer representing NATE. She contributed to the Tower Foreman Task Force NWSA (National Wireless Safety Association) Committee and participated on the TIRAP (Telecommunications Industry Registered Apprenticeship Program) Resource Development Committee.
