Duane MacEntee is a partner in the law firm of Barker MacEntee PLLC, representing contractors and engineering companies in the communications tower and infrastructure industry. Duane’s firm provides industry-specific legal services as outside general counsel and for crisis response, business policy and process development, contract review, regulatory compliance, and mergers & acquisitions.
Duane is also Executive Director of the National Wireless Safety Alliance, the telecommunications tower industry’s non-profit trade certification body for tower technicians.
Over the last 20+ years, Duane served the communications industry various business management operations, and technical roles. He has in-depth experience in network infrastructure services and has held various leadership roles with major vertical realtors, tower engineering and fabrication companies, and construction and deployment contractors in support of broadband wireless and fiber networks.
Earlier in his career, Duane directed safety, environmental remediation and workers’ compensation programs as Director of Safety and Loss Control at the NC Department of Transportation. He also served as a Commissioner on both the NC Radiation Protection and NC State Emergency Response Commissions and began his career as an engineer at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Duane earned a B.S. in Engineering Technology from the University of Central Florida, an M.B.A. from the Florida Institute of Technology, and his Juris Doctorate from North Carolina Central University.
