Session 11 – Every Moment Counts: Preparing for Emergency Response

Session 11 – Every Moment Counts: Preparing for Emergency Response

9-1-1 What is your emergency?

On December 15, 2021Chris Feder, Director of Rescue Services for Med-Tex Services conducted the final session of the 2021 NATE UNITE Educational Series. This session outlined areas of opportunity and consideration before there’s a need to call 9-1-1.

Tower workers access these worksites frequently and many times these sites are remote in nature, may be hidden from main roads due to vegetation growth or in many cases are not accessible by fire and emergency services. If a worker needs to call 9-1-1 for a medical or emergency at height, what is the plan? Session attendees received a tactical worksheet they can use to properly evaluate their site(s) and document the vital information to share with local fire and emergency services.

When there is an incident requiring emergency response, every moment counts.
