The WON Mentorship Program is designed to foster an exchange of ideas, expertise and camaraderie among NATE members at all levels. From emerging professionals to industry veterans, participants can grow both professionally and personally by learning from each other’s perspectives, discussing professional issues and supporting their peers in the resolution of their challenges.

This goal-oriented program is designed for participants to speak via phone one to two times a month for a year. During these calls, mentors and mentees will set and work through goals.

Interested participants should complete the short interactive questionnaire below and return to the NATE office at [email protected]. This questionnaire will be used to make potential matches based on development goals and interests. Upon a possible match, all identifying information will be removed from the questionnaire and sent to both the possible mentor and mentee to confirm this would indeed be a good match.

Initially, a core base of current NATE members (both men and women) is needed to formulate a mentor pool. Mentors will then be matched with interested NATE members. A limited number of mentee applicants will be accepted based on the number of mentor applications. If the mentee applicants exceed what the program can accommodate, a lottery will be held with each applicant to ensure fair participation opportunities for all.

Beginning in 2019, mentoring matches will be made and introduction emails, best practices of mentoring document and a goal worksheet will be sent. From this point, participants will decide how and when to conduct a mentoring call and mentoring will begin. The WON Mentorship Team is available for any questions to help ensure this process is smooth and easy.

Once a month, starting in March 2019, all participants will have the opportunity to be part of a separate mentor and mentee opinion call. The goal is to establish continual feedback and improve upon the program. This call will allow participants to discuss changes, updates, successes and questions. We want the program to grow and mature to meet the needs and expectations of members.
