Video is the Second to Debut in Volume 8 of the Association’s Popular #ClimberConnection Series

(Nashville, TN) – NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association today released a video shining a spotlight on the topic of working safely on Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP). The video, the second in Volume 8 of the Association’s popular #ClimberConnection Series, made its debut last week at the 2025 South Wireless Summit in Nashville, Tennessee.

The NATE Mobile Elevated Work Platforms video is intended to provide guidance to the industry’s technician workforce regarding the proper training, PPE, inspection protocols, awareness of their surrounding work environment, connecting to an engineered anchor point and other appropriate fall protection techniques to safely conduct deployment activities from a work platform.

“As convergence happens and the industry continues to evolve, we are obviously seeing more scenarios where tower technicians are working on Mobile Elevated Work Platforms,” said Cameron Swanson, Vice President of EH&S at Ontivity. “The video touches on many crucial elements the industry’s workforce needs to be educated and trained on to ensure their safety when working in a MEWP. I would strongly encourage companies in the industry to incorporate this video into their tailgate safety meetings and training sessions,” added Swanson.
