NATE Co-Founder and Former Chairman Craig Snyder to Testify at U.S. Senate Commerce Subcommittee Hearing

VIKOR Teleconstruction CEO to Offer Expert Testimony at “Transforming Rural America: A New Era of Innovation” Field Hearing

(Sioux Falls, SD) – NATE Co-Founder and Former Chairman Craig Snyder, CEO at VIKOR Teleconstruction, is slated to provide expert witness testimony at an upcoming U.S. Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, Innovation and the Internet hearing. U.S. Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., chairman of the Subcommittee, will convene a hearing entitled “Transforming Rural America: A New Era of Innovation” on Thursday, September 5 at 1:30 PM CDT at Southeast Technical Institute in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr is also scheduled to provide witness testimony at the hearing which will examine the innovations high-speed broadband services bring to rural America in a variety of sectors such as agriculture, education, health care, and small business. The hearing will also explore the need to bring additional reliable broadband connectivity to rural America.

Craig Portrait 1During his remarks, Craig Snyder will discuss the prominent role that wireless infrastructure contractors and the technician workforce plays in the country’s efforts to provide broadband coverage and connectivity to rural and underserved areas of the country. As part of his witness testimony, Snyder will also discuss the industry’s labor shortage challenges and highlight some of NATE and the industry’s workforce development initiatives aimed to develop a new pipeline of skilled wireless technicians.
