FCC Chairman Ajit Pai Visits NATE STAR Initiative Member Company During New England Visit
Wireless Workforce; 5G Deployment a Focus of Meeting
(Pembroke, New Hampshire) – FCC Chairman Ajit Pai today visited the headquarters of NATE Member Company Green Mountain Communications, Inc. during a road trip through the state of New Hampshire.
During the visit, executives and employees from Green Mountain Communications, Inc., a NATE STAR Initiative company, visited with Chairman Pai and his accompanying staff about the work the company conducts on a daily basis building, maintaining and deploying communication tower sites, small cells, in-building wireless networks and outdoor DAS throughout the Northeast region of the country.
The meeting also provided Green Mountain Communications, Inc. staff an opportunity to provide a contractor company’s perspective to Chairman Pai regarding 5G deployment opportunities and the potential 5G deployment obstacles confronting the industry. Finally, Chairman Pai was able to learn about the National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) worker credentialing process involved for workers to obtain NWSA certification credentials during the visit.
