NATE Statement on Senate Commerce Committee Vote to Approve the Nomination of Geoffrey Starks

(Washington, D.C.) – The NATE: The Communications Infrastructure Contractors Association today released the following statement on the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, & Transportation vote to approve the nomination of Geoffrey Starks as an FCC Commissioner.

“NATE congratulates Geoffrey Starks on receiving formal approval from the Senate Commerce Committee to continue to move his nomination forward,” stated Executive Director Todd Schlekeway. “NATE encourages the U.S. Senate to move quickly on scheduling a floor vote to confirm Mr. Starks so the FCC can once again be at a full complement of five Commissioners. With all of the critical issues related to the deployment of rural broadband, public safety communications and 5G networks, a timely confirmation vote is in order. NATE looks forward to ultimately working closely with Mr. Starks on the many policy and regulatory issues facing our dynamic industry,” Schlekeway added.
