Membership Committee Update
I would like to start by welcoming all the new members to our NATE family:
American Construction
Bullock Tower Service, Inc.
Centramedia Inc.
Concert Technologies, Inc.
Crizer's Data Cabling Service
Sisttemex S.A. de C.V.
World Communication Company
I would also like to wish all members of our organization the best of luck in the new year.
I hope the holidays have treated everyone well and they have enjoyed the company of loved ones this holiday season. Please also remember loved ones of others who are fighting in faraway battlefields, serving their countries in a time of need; and also those beloved tower hands that are working this holiday season, defining again what dedication really means.
I look forward to seeing all of you, my friends, at the NATE Annual Conference & Exposition located at the Wyndham Anatole in Dallas Texas, February 14-17, 2005. For this is a time to celebrate, trade war stories and look forward together as the vision and heartbeat of our industry.
Looking back (5 years doing what I love), I can see how things have grown in this industry and how lives have been changed. I remember when I first started climbing, and how the view was from the top. Nowadays it is not as often that I get to climb. I do miss those days, but am thankful that so many people have shaped my perception of this industry. From the carriers to the manufacturers, we all have helped this association grow and become better. I am finding myself sounding like a Budweiser commercial “as we salute you the harness sewer, and you the hot dip galvanizing guy.” Well I guess this was bound to happen to you when you rant and rave in a positive matter.
As I finish this article, which I am proud to write as a contributing member of the Membership Committee, it is my wish that all of you help make our industry and association stronger by bringing together everyone who has anything to do with tower erection and encouraging them to become NATE members, and to have a voice. I am starting to see an upswing in work and feel that 2005 is going to get better and better.
That’s all folks. Michael S. Fergus is a member of the NATE Membership Committee and is the Project Sales Coordinator for Capital Tower and Communications located in Waverly, Nebraska. He may be reached at 402-786-3333 or mikef@capital tower.org.
