From the NATE Office
Welcome to NATE 2004!

For the Association, the year ends and begins in February with NATE’s Annual Conference & Exposition. This year’s show promises to be another successful gathering for the tower erection, service and maintenance industry.

Coming off another successful year, NATE members have a great deal of which to be proud. From tackling major regulatory issues in Washington, D.C. to the development of new standards and safety resources, NATE continues to be the voice of the tower erection, service and maintenance industry.

The educational sessions at this year’s show will again provide useful information to NATE’s primary membership, while the industry’s premiere trade show again boasts the latest developments in products and services for tower erectors.

The Gaylord Opryland Hotel will provide the perfect background for both the business and the fun connected with this year’s show. For those of you unfamiliar with this hotel, you are in for a real treat.

As you all know, successful shows do not just happen. The NATE event in particular requires the involvement, time and resources of hundreds of companies and well over a thousand individuals. There are no words to adequately thank you all, but let me try.

An industry-leading trade show needs dedicated sponsors if it is going to be successful. NATE is extremely lucky to have MTS Wireless Components as this year’s Diamond Sponsor. AIG is again NATE’s Gold Sponsor, while NELLO CORPORATION and Valmont Structures are this year’s Silver Sponsors. These sponsors are joined by numerous Bronze, Patron and Friends of NATE Sponsors, without whom the event could not be held. To all NATE Sponsors, thank you for your dedication to this event.

The exhibitors who make up the NATE Trade Show continue to give attendees a first class viewing of the best products and services for the new year. NATE is fortunate again in 2004 to have the strong backing of nearly 100 leading manufacturers, vendors and service providers. Thank you to all of our exhibitors for another successful show.

And no NATE show could take place without the attendees from all aspects of the tower erection, service and maintenance industry. To those of you who support this event every year through your participation, and to those who are joining us for the first time, our gratitude goes out to you for making this show possible.

I also want to extend our sincere thanks to Ken Meador and all the members of the NATE Trade Show Committee for another year of outstanding dedication to this event. NATE is fortunate to have access to such knowledgeable and dependable individuals, as you can tell by each year’s show.

The work of the Board of Direct-ors and all NATE Committees are also evident at the annual event. These leaders of our association are also due our deepest gratitude.

And finally, my colleagues at NATE – Paula Nurnberg, Carol Coughlin, Deb Moldenhauer, Shelly Trego, Corene Iverson and Vicki Dahl – deserve NATE’s most heartfelt appreciation for their dedication and devotion to the highest standards. I am very fortunate to work with such remarkable people, and NATE continues to be very well served by their outstanding efforts.

Have a fantastic NATE 2004! I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones as the show week unfolds.
