Membership Committee Update
First of all I would like to add my personal welcome to the new members of the NATE family:

ANS Advanced Network Services LLC

Cooper's Welding and Manufacturing, Inc.

DukeNet Communication Services, LLC

Preferred Tank & Tower, Inc.

Solex Contracting

Vertical Horizons Contracting, Inc.

I believe that NATE is one of the best organizations of which I have been involved. If there is anything that I can do to help someone renew, please feel free to contact me or any other Membership Committee member. We also look forward to any and all ideas that may help to improve NATE as an organization.

It is past that time again when your membership dues are due. I hope all members have renewed your membership for another year. Remember that there is the NATE website (www. natehome.com) where you can renew your membership. It is simple to use and doesn’t take very long to complete. An important date to remember is September 30 because it is the last date that your membership can be renewed before it expires. So, please complete your renewal before then.

As I write this article I again find myself challenged to come up with a topic to expound on. Sometimes it is difficult to think of a topic because of a busy schedule. I believe that as we get more and more busy it becomes increasingly difficult to unwind. Most times we are asked to do more with less and therefore we find ourselves overworked.

Fortunately, in our industry we have the NATE membership to fall back on. What I mean by this is we can get some great information about safety programs. We have access to information concerning OSHA and we have a great forum in the trade show every year with our fellow colleagues. Members also have contact information for all of our member companies. And last but certainly not least, the great staff at the NATE office. These folks are always there to answer any questions that arise.

One final note: take the time to be with loved ones and find the time to unwind from your busy schedule. Family and friends are important and every one of us needs to spend time with them. When this is done we build memories that last a lifetime. It is my hope that members renew their membership and that we continue to bring in new members. Thanks to everyone for all of your hard work.
