Letter to the Editor
Dear NATE Friends,

As you are aware, elections for the NATE Board of Directors are coming up this fall. Now is the time for all prospective candidates to submit your names for consideration.

Strong leadership is essential for success. The role of a true leader is to create change for better results. The NATE Administrative Staff, the Board of Directors and our Committees have done a magnificent job of creating change for positive results in this industry that we all love and serve. NATE has always had, and continues to have, strong leadership.

We cannot, however, expect this to remain true unless more of you step up to the burden of making NATE and our industry the best and the safest it can possibly be. Unfortunately, we have a stark reminder of how much work is left do to as we continue to add to the body count of brothers that have been lost this year.

I have been privileged to serve on the NATE Board of Directors for the past six years. I am grateful for your support to allow me to do so. My belief in the immense value of NATE to our industry remains unshaken. However, because I want to encourage others to rise up and become more involved in nurturing NATE, I am announcing that I will not be seeking re-election to the Board this year. I am asking you to step up your involvement and fill this seat!

Sincerely,

Dave Anthony
