Trade Show Committee Update
Wow! What a great NATE Conference & Exposition in Orlando. I am sure that everyone had a great time learning about new things and meeting with old friends and making new ones. It is great to see that each year, the NATE Conference & Exposition continues to grow and gets better and better. This year was especially exciting to hear that everyone is very busy and the industry as a whole continues to grow and expand. Without you, today’s world of instant communications -- whether it be voice, data, or video -- would not be possible. It is exciting to be a part of such a great industry with a good outlook for the future.

Now that everyone has had time to get back to their business and take care of pressing issues that were left for you while you were away, it is time to reflect on the annual conference. While NATE 2006 is still fresh on your mind, providing feedback to the Board of Directors, Trade Show Committee, and the NATE Administrative Staff is a great way to ensure that future annual events continue to improve. One of the tools we utilize is the surveys that you are asked to complete. Without your feedback, improvements and suggestions do not exist and everyone thinks things are great. Now that might be, but I am sure that someone has a suggestion or two for the NATE team.

This is your chance to have a voice in the direction of the conference, which include: the educational sessions, networking opportunities, exposition, and other events that are offered during NATE’s conference and exposition. You also have the ability to share thoughts and ideas about future annual event locations.

Referring back to something I wrote for this section in an issue last year, a wise man once said, “If you don’t want your thoughts and ideas heard, do not come back and complain later when things are not the way you thought.” This is a very profound statement, but it is true in the purest sense. Without you voicing your opinion, how can we ALL become better educated, better trained, and make friendships that last a lifetime. LET US KNOW WHAT YOU THINK!

All of us that are involved in helping make the NATE Conference & Exposition a success would also like to thank all of the new members and exhibitors for attending this year’s event. We trust that you found the event to be beneficial and well worth your investment. Finally, I would also like to take this time to thank ALL of our sponsors. Without them, NATE would not be able to be what it is. Their support of the Association throughout the years is invaluable. Thanks for helping make NATE successful!

Thank you for your time. Be safe and have a great 2006. We look forward to seeing you at the next great NATE event!
