John Henshaw Addresses NATE Members at Annual Conference - February 19, 2003
Good morning, I am delighted to be here today to share with you the directions OSHA is taking to help you drive down the workplace fatalities and injuries in the tower communications industries.
I notice from the brochure that you, as a group, are looking at the standards, engineering design, rigging, crane safety, and especially fall protection and rescue operations specific to communication towers.
It is this type of cooperative effort that brings forth change and, within OSHA, that means working toward the reduction of fatalities and injuries and illnesses through knowledge, experience, and directed effort.
I am proud to say that NATE and OSHA have teamed up in a partnership with Region V so your friends, workers, and colleagues can return from work at the end of the day.
Safety and health add value.
